We Made it..
Bare bones timeline of our journey to Samara...

Monday, 20 Feb. 6:00am: Arrived at JFK
2:30pm: boarded Aeroflot Airlines for flight to Moscow
Tuesday, 21 Feb. 7:00am: Arrived at Moscow Airport
4:00pm: flight to Samara
7:00pm: arrived in Samara
I
will fill in the details and experiences later, needless to say, I
asked dad if we could please travel first class on our way home. It is
brutal trying to sleep on full flights!!!
We
are safe, happy, and a bit overwhelmed! Let’s just say it is very weird
having people trying to talk to you in a foreign language!!! We will
try and figure out our phone situation today. We tried calling everyone
last night, only the call to Sydney went through. Not sure if anyone got
the texts or email I sent from Moscow.
We
are at a very nice, not your typical, Holiday Inn in Samara. We will be
here for three nights. President and Sister Ottesen and the other two
Senior Missionary couples will be training together.
President
and Sister Ottesen are so cute! In the mission van they sat in the back
seat, with their chins on the back of our seats, so they could talk to
us for the hour drive to our hotel. And… Sister Ottesen, reminds me SO
MUCH of Amelia, she is bubbly, cute, enthusiastic, and even LOOKS LIKE
HER (only older, of course)!!! I can’t look at her without thinking of
Amelia, and it makes my heart feel a little sad. OH HOW I MISS ALL OF
YOU!!! I promise all of you that we will work super hard while we are
here, so that our time will go super fast, so we can be back with our
super family real soon!!!
Please
join me in praying for each other and all the grands, and especially
with the Struve family as Sydney has her new daughter today.
Dad
and I love you, like you, pray for you, serve for you, think of you,
talk about you, share pictures of you, and most of all are exceedingly
grateful for you!!!
BEE WELL,
heart, mom
